This group is for atheists who are secure in their atheism otherwise refer to the other local groups such as Beltway Atheists and Atheist Outreach. Being secure, we can focus on having fun. The purpose of this group is to give atheists a sense of community. Knowing that forming a community based on what one doesn't believe is a futile endeavor, hopefully, we can come together as a fun loving group. Since I'm not interested in debates, let me give you my basis of awareness and be done with it. I

Omaha Atheists Meetup Group
If you are an atheist or an agnostic, you are not alone... Because of our culture, nonbelievers tend to avoid discussing religious topics while those of faith discuss it regularly. Atheist Support Network
Welcome to Atheist Support. We are centered in San Bernardino / Riverside County, but we welcome anyone from anywhere and hope the experience will be worth the drive. Our philosophy is that everyone is born an atheist. However, very few of us were lucky enough to be raised Atheist. Religious indoctrination, religious injection while in school, door-to-door bringers of “good news”, Bibles left in hotel rooms... most of us end up believing in Something Greater Than Ourselves. We love,

The Statesboro Atheist Meetup
I began this group because I wanted to meet other atheists in SE Georgia. The purpose of the group is social, in Statesboro and the surrounding community, theism, particularly Christianity is the norm. An atheist can feel very isolated. This group is intended to create a place where atheists can go be themselves, talk about issues of the day in ways that do not evoke the supernatural. The Ancestor's Trail 2011 in the UK

Date: 29 May 2011 Time: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Time Zone: London

Description:
The Ancestor's Trail, named after Richard Dawkins’ book the 'Ancestor's Tale', combines biodiversity, hill walking, evolution and the arts. It represents, as far as we know, the only biological pilgrimage and involves a group of scientists/ atheists / environmentalists/ artists working together to develop an annual celebration of our shared origins through evolution. This will be the second Ancestor's Trail.

So how does the event work? Simultaneously a number of disparately located walking groups will begin trails that eventually coalesce, depicting the story of evolution in reverse. The number of walkers following the trail will gradually swell as tributary groups, representing the various branches the tree of life, merge with the main body of walkers. Eventually, the ever-increasing band of hikers will arrive together at Kilve beach ~ famous for its fossils. There we will celebrate what has to be the most spectacularly belated birthday anniversary of all time!
